To me id rather spend 2 weeks making a professional sounding instrumental than 1 day making 2 weeks worth of instrumentals thats most Fl users do which makes all their music sound like crap. I was trying to say that fl just wasnt for me and that many think it is magical due to how fast the workflow is So wait, you're saying it's all about the producer, but then you say that all the music you made in FL and your mentor made was utter crap? Lol my bad man sometimes i write so much i forget what argument i am trying to defend lol im in vacation so im in a idgaf grammer mood lol Maybe its because the step sequencer sounds heavily quantized even with the swing feature? It sounds like so technoish but still the step sequencer is the ****TTT dfegad I picked up everything extremely quick and the same went to cubase. I know it may sound stupid but my music sounded extremely better when i went into ableton the first time.

After being around so much crappy music i canned FL went on to Ableton (which is my personal favorite Daw of all time, but i could only come up with ideas for instrumentals, never finish them.) then i went on to cubase 5 for couple of months (which i dropped since it is basically like pro tools so why not learn the industry standard thing?) so i went on to pro tools. Even my mentors instrumentals sounded like utter crap and he knew EVERYTHING about FL studio. After being taught fl studio from the ground up and hearing the work coming out of it, it all sounded like utter crap. Like someone earlier said, its the producer not the DAWД¬ase in point, when i first began music producing i used FL studio, and i loved the little features such as the browser, the step sequencer and the stock plugins (yes i loved EDISON so much i bought it so i could use it along side with pro tools).
